Tanzania Hope Fund

The Tanzania Hope Fund was started in 2006 by a good friend Gail Ahern she founded the Fund after her first visit to Tanzania in 2006 with Cross Cultural Solutions. Seeing the many orphanages that were in dire need of the basic necessities, she felt that everyone back home would be willing to share and to care.

Thus far the Hope Fund has helped cloth and feed the Nkoaranga, New Paradise, Kibowa, Good Hope and St. Joseph’s Medical orphanages, and Elimu Center. It has also helped with the blind of Arusha town by paying the rent for their lodgings. The Hope Fund has purchased school uniforms for those children unable to do so in the Arushia area and also purchased many books and educational tools. The Nkoaranga hospital has also received funds for many medical supplies through the fund.

With the Tanzanian Hope Fund is now under the umbrella of the “Plymouth Haven Baptist Church” they are now able to receive tax-exempt status under this Church. This Church, along with the Tanzania Hope Fund, sponsors 3 students at the Secondary level, and they are flourishing in their studies. One dreams of becoming a physician.
